To perform diagnostic and gateway-protected functions using the J2534 diagnostic software on 2018 and newer Hyundai vehicles, you must have a NASTF Vehicle Security Professional (VSP) or Diagnostic Professional (DP) account.
This verification is built into your free NASTF account - simply opt in to activate access.
Once enrolled, NASTF assigns you a Diagnostic Professional ID, which confirms to Hyundai servers that you are an authorized user.
Upon starting the J2534 application, the Login window will appear. Before continuing, ensure you have established an internet connection.
Enter your administrator-provided ID and password; then click Login to open the main J2534 window. (You may check “Save ID” if you’d like the program to remember your login information).
After logging in, the system will automatically check for and install updates.
When selecting features such as Actuation Test or Vehicle Software Management, the NASTF Login pop-up will automatically appear.
To complete the NASTF Login Procedure
- Confirm the VIN is displayed.
- Enter your VSP or Diagnostic Professional ID.
- Enter your Two-Factor Authentication (Authy) code.
- Click Log In.
Once authenticated, a secure session is established and you’ll be directed to your selected function. The session will remain active for up to 60 minutes (depending upon the manufacturers policy), after which you’ll need to log in again.
