If you have received notification of rejected or expiring documents on your NASTF account, you will need to provide updated or corrected copies for approval. Required documentation includes:
Proof of Identification - A colored copy of your current valid U.S. or Canadian driver's license.
Proof of Employment / Ownership - W4’s and W9’s are not accepted. You may upload a current W2 (with the last 4 digits of SSN redacted), a current pay stub, a current dated letter signed and dated by the HR department of the corporation identifying the employee by name and current work location or a current dated business document listing the applicant is the owner of the company. Documents cannot be more than a year old and must confirm the applicant is a full time W2 (not contracted/1099) employee of the business or confirm ownership.
Copy of Business License - NASTF requires documentation to show the business is currently active and in good standing with your state. Examples of documentation NASTF can approve include:
- A Notice of Good Standing from your Secretary of State for the business, dated and signed the current year.
- A screenshot from your state website showing the business in active or good standing, showing the date the screenshot was captured.
- A business license issued by your county/city/state dated the current year for the business.
- A sales tax certificate/permit from the city/county/state for your business, dated and signed for the current year.
- An annual tax return can also be accepted, dated and signed for the current year by a preparer.
Copy of Locksmith License - If you are a locksmith and your state requires a locksmith license you will need to provide clear copy of the locksmith license for review. If you do not require a locksmith license, please skip uploading a document.
Certificate of Insurance - Due to NASTF's new insurance policy the certificate of insurance needs to be sent by the insurance agent. Please have your insurance agent email a copy of your current certificate of insurance to COI@nastf.org for review and include you on the message for confirmation of when the document is sent and received. NASTF requires Primary Account Holders maintain at least a $1 million aggregate / $500,000 per event Commercial General Liability policy. Be sure to confirm the business name and address on all documentation matches the business name and address listed on the account and that NASTF, Wheat Ridge, CO is listed as either the Certificate holder or as additionally insured.
To upload new documentation, login at https://sdrm.nastf.org/login and select Account Settings. On the Account Settings page, select your email address link. On the Account Add/Edit page, scroll down and upload your documentation.
Please provide the updated documents to ensure they are reviewed in a timely manner. Once all documentation is received your application will then be reviewed for approval. Please allow the review team 1-2 weeks to review your application. If the review team rejects a document you will receive notification with the rejection reason and guidance for correction. Otherwise, you will receive notification that your application has been approved and that your account is active.
If you have any questions about the documents that are required, please submit a support ticket through support.NASTF.org.
