The NASTF Assisted Immobilizer Reprogramming (AIR) program enables qualified repair technicians to request remote assistance for security-related reprogramming (e.g., ECM, BCM, PATS) through authorized NASTF Service Providers. This service is ideal for shops that occasionally need immobilizer reprogramming but don't require full Vehicle Security Professional (VSP) credentials.

Costs:

  • No registration fee for AIR access.

  • $45 for the first 5 completed transactions per year.

  • Additional transactions are free.

How to Register for AIR

  1. Log in to the NASTF SDRM Portal
Go to NASTF SDRM, scroll to the bottom left, and press Join NASTF. Complete the registration form. Confirm your email to activate your account.

  2. Access the AIR Application
In the SDRM menu bar, click the Apply for Assisted Immobilizer Reprogramming link to start your application.

  3. Enter Federal Employer ID Number or Canadian Business Number (required)

  4. Upload Proof of Identification / Driver's License) (required)

  5. Upload Proof of Employment (required - any of these documents will be accepted)

    • Current pay stub showing your name, employer name, and address (income redacted)

    • W-2 form (W-4 forms are not accepted)

    • Legal business documentation listing applicant as owner or officer of the company

  6. Click "Submit and Close" button

This will begin the review process for the application. After the application has been reviewed (typically within 24-48 hours) and you have received approval notification, you can then submit an AIR request.
