Submitting an Assisted Immobilizer Reprogramming (AIR) Request

Modified on Tue, Jul 29 at 2:55 PM

The NASTF Assisted Immobilizer Reprogramming (AIR) program enables qualified repair technicians to request remote assistance for security-related reprogramming (e.g., ECM, BCM, PATS) through authorized NASTF Service Providers. This service is ideal for shops that occasionally need immobilizer reprogramming but don't require full Vehicle Security Professional (VSP) credentials.

Costs:

  • $45 for the first 5 completed transactions per year.
  • Additional transactions are free.

Submitting an AIR Request:

  1. Log in the your NASTF Account
  2. Click the Assisted Immobilizer Reprograming link in the menu bar
  3. Click the "Begin New Immobilizer Reprogramming Request"
  4. Enter the VIN (required) to decode the vehicle information
  5. Choose a provider and equipment
  6. Upload required documentation:
    • Customer’s driver’s license
    • Proof of ownership (registration, title, insurance, bill of sale, fleet letter, or signed repair order)
  7. A Service Provider will then contact you directly to complete the request.
    • NASTF suggests contacting your chosen Service Provide to coordinate the transaction
