NASTF has identified four types of business models.
One Man Shop / "Man in a Van" / Single mobile technician
A solitary business owner providing automotive service and performing all aspects of the company from documentation to obtaining programming codes. This would require applying for a single user with primary VSP security credentials.
Mom and Pop Shop / Business Owner with one technician
A business owner can establish an Admin account to help manage documentation for a technician with a Primary account.
Admin accounts are free to set up alongside a VSP Primary account. The cannot perform programming, but they can assist with maintaining and preparing all the forms and documentation necessary to support transactions.
Large Organization / Business with multiple technicians
A business with some type of office support staff or management with registered technicians or workers performing programming functions that are managed by the VSP Primary in one state.
This can be performed with a Primary VSP and multiple Primary accounts or Subordinate accounts.
Multiple State Business Operations
A business with some type of office support staff or management and multiple registered technicians or workers operating in more than one state.
A Primary account is required for each state of business.
