D1 Customer Authorization Forms are an essential part of the NASTF verification process.

When a VSP is required to use their NASTF credentials to access security information (such as key programming, immobilizer functions or system resets), D1 forms serve as proof of vehicle ownership to prevent unauthorized access by confirming the technician has proper consent.
After logging in to the SDRM Registry, navigate to the left-hand menu bar and select D1 Forms.
To see further details about choosing the correct D1, you can select the video link at the top of the page or begin a D1 document by clicking anywhere on the appropriate form link (for example, a Customer D1).
NASTF policy requires that vehicle and owner information is acquired prior to performing any security operation; so, begin at the Ownership verification section and enter the current and correct information. At this point, you can save the form for completion later (in which case it will remain on your dashboard)
Upon confirming the customer and vehicle information in person, you can then reenter the form to upload verification documents and enter the Service Performed information (including any notes relevant to the transaction).
Finally, submit the form to validate the transaction and the completed D1 will automatically connect with the appropriate OEM validation request.
If you have any further questions, please contact the NASTF support team at support.nastf.org. NASTF Support Center hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 9AM to 6PM Eastern Standard Time.
